Sierra Leone Premier League Champs excel in West Africa Champions Cup

As part of preparations for the African Champions League, Bo Rangers football club has excelled at this year’s West African Champions Cup (WACC) by extending their winning ways in the competition.

The club defeated ASM Sangaredi of Equatorial Guinea 2-0 in Guinea Conakry on Thursday 10th August, 2023. The Sierra Leonean side took the lead in the 32nd minute through Ibrahim Turay and they doubled their advantage in the 85th minute through a strike from Amadu Mansaray.

Star Sport Academy welcomes overseas football agents

Stakeholders endorse report on MRU Road Project

The Environmental, Social and Health Impact Assessment, and the Resettlement Action Plan reports for Phase IV of the Mano River Union Road Development and Transport Facilitation Programme has been unanimously accepted by Stakeholders in Kailahun District. 

The endorsements were made in a three-day public disclosure event that were held in Koindu, Kailahun and Freetown from July 24 to 26 respectively.

Bo Rangers to meet Liberia’s “Shipping Boys’’ in CAF Champions League

Newly- crowned Sierra Leone Premier League Champions Bo Rangers FC have been drawn against Liberian International Shipping and Corporate Registry (LISCR) in the preliminary round of the Total/Energies CAF Champions League. The first- leg encounter will take place in Sierra Leone between 18-20 August and the second leg in Liberia between 25-27 August, the exact dates yet to be determined.

Bo Rangers are again champions for the second time running and had the league trophy handed to them at the Southern Arena over the weekend.

Three major Sierra Leone Premier League football clubs go down!

Shock waves have swept through Sierra Leone’s football landscape after three Premier League clubs, Kamboi Eagles, East End Tigers and FC Johansen got relegated over the weekend.

It was a final day of anguish for players, officials and supporters of the clubs especially Kamboi Eagles who will play Division One football next season- the first drop by the club since 1956.

Bo Rangers crowned Champions of Sierra Leone

Bo Rangers were on Saturday handed this year’s Sierra Leone Premier League Trophy by SLFA President Thomas Daddy Brima at the Southern Arena on Match day 34. They beat Bai Bureh Warriors 3-0 .It’s the second consecutive clinching of the Champions  trophy by Rangers.

 Chairman of Bo Rangers Babadi Kamara said he wants Bo to be the Hub of football.

“We are determined to continue winning the Sierra Leone premier league.I took over as fan club chairman, and this is how far we have come as a club’’, a delighted Kamara said.

Sierra Leone FA punish club for fielding “unqualified” players

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA)  and the Premier League Disciplinary and Protests Committee have awarded all three points to Wiberforce Strikers Club and three goals at the expense of Freetonians SLIFA who were found guilty of fielding two “unqualified” players in the match   against Wilberforce Strikers on the 8th July, 2023.
