Babadi Kamara: the man, the idea and the impact
By Alpha Abu
Babadi Kamara is already a household name in sporting circles in Sierra Leone. His intervention in football in particular has somewhat given the game more meaning here, having brought class and foresight into it by embarking on ambitious projects more than any present day football stakeholder in the country.

POLITICS PLEADS WITH THE WORLD
Please, clean me up!
O yes centuries of suffocation,
Love is still struggling to return to me;
Integrity, largely thrown into exile:
Trust, like love, cannot fully return.
Incitement has replaced insight all over;
Collaboration is what I yearn for,

TRIBUTE: HENRY IS GONE -THE THRILL IS GONE (For H E Henry Macauley, aka Macox)
Henry is gone
A huge cavity
Is left in the world’s smile
Furrows of grief furrowed
the sky’s forehead as the
dissonant note of his final breath
untuned the cosmic tune
The thrill is gone
Henry is gone
His final heartbeat was like
a metronome of funeral drums
of epochs lost
The pedal tone is gone,
And a requiem
Hung in the air
Where the thrill once reigned
The thrill is gone
Henry is gone.
The Interview: Sierra Leone’s first female independent parliamentarian
Women have been largely marginalized in politics over the years and to think of a woman vying for a parliamentary seat as an independent candidate rather than any of the two main political parties, is even more challenging. Politico’s Nasratu Kargbo spoke to the MP.
Politico: How many years have you been an MP?
