A local non-governmental organisation, the Sierra Leone Action Network on Small Arms (SLANSA) says a survey conducted in five chiefdoms in Kono District reveals that almost 80 percent of youth  between the 18 and 35 years are unemployed.

National project manager for Masada, Ami Dumbuya has called on the Freetown City Council (FCC) to enforce by-laws prohibiting garbage dumping and street littering in the city.

Dumbuya told Politico that Masada was a private company, “ready to provide solution to the city’s lingering waste management problems, but not without the help of FCC”.
