Chief prosecutor in the United Bank for Africa (UBA) alleged fraud case before Magistrate Komba Kamanda says he will have to bring in senior officials of the bank to prove the “high profile” nature of the case.
The first prosecution witness in the Le54 million matter, involving the Nigerian bank, Legal One Superintendent M. B. Kamara said he wanted to open the investigation to include other persons whom he said were still working at the Bank.

Accused person Moses John Wilson charged with malicious damage and unlawful interference with aircraft safety contrary to Aviation Act has appeared for the second time before Magistrate Komba Kamanda of Court No 2 in Freetown.
Meanwhile, the prosecution could still not start its case.
Mr. Wilson was charged to court following an incident at the Freetown International Airport at Lungi where an aircraft carrying investors was broken and entered into whiles it owners were in Freetown.

Finance and Development Committee in parliament was in Pujehun district to engage the Holy Rosary and Saint Paul’s secondary school who were being investigated for alleged improper record-keeping and possible misuse of funds.
After a thorough questioning of officials of both schools, the committee found out that the authorities were used to making withdrawals from their bank accounts without due recourse to accountability and straight records.

The Independent Media Commission received a letter of complaint from Alhaji Wusha-Conteh. He complained that a statement aired on the programme titled “weekly guest” on Voice of Islam radio demonised his character and that he was denied access to respond to allegations made on the programme.
