LAJ Unveils Cassidy, Kao drops another hit

LAJ’s Red Flag Movement (RFM) has busted Cee Money while planning to feature US based freestyle rapper Cassidy, real name Barry Adrian Reese. Meanwhile, his rival Kao Denero of Black Leo fame is planning to release a new single soonest.

By the way Cee Money, who is said to have sustained multiple injuries after the RFM attack, is Black Leo’s financial mainstay, whose moral support was equally visible when his dudes visited the country over the years.

Calling himself the ‘Rapper dem God’ LAJ, otherwise known as The Boss, has released pictures of himself and Cassidy, whom he said he has featured in a song and video he hopes to release very soon.

Cassidy is an American rapper known for his freestyle capabilities & also being the first rapper to ever have the first platinum ringtone with his hit single "I’m A Hustla".

In Sierra Leone dancehall goers and hip-hop fans should be able to remember for his two most popular songs: ‘Get No Better’ and ‘My Drink N' My 2 Step [Explicit]’ between 2006 and 2011.

In late 2009 Cassidy signed with Carmelo Anthony's label Kross Over while preparing his fourth studio album; he released a mixtape series entitled Apply Pressure. On August 24, 2010, Cassidy released the 5-track ‘EP Face 2 Face’with the promotional single "Face 2 Face". On November 16, 2010,Cassidy's fourth studio album, C.A.S.H (Case Always Stay Hard) was released. On its first week it sold about 5,200 copies, much lower than his previous studio albums like "Drumma Bass".

Sierra Leone’s Boss LA, as he is fondly called, came to prominence with the ‘Money Na Bank Remix’ track after featuring prominent artistes like Kao Denero, now his rival; Pupa Baja now in the USA with mates Naughty Dove and A-Class of the Dry Eye Crew; and Daddy Saj, the corruption crusader now studying abroad.

LAJ broke grounds after the 2009 Akon Show at the National Stadium when a bust-up with fellow rapper Kao Denero went explosive. Since then, it has been one rap beef song against the other from the two rival groups-Black Leo and RFM.

It could be recalled that a street fight for supremacy landed LAJ in police net after a motor racing on the beach with one gang leader named Big Fish. The broil led to the death of two people.

LAJ was re-arrested by the police after a bail on the earlier offence for driving an unlicensed and uninsured vehicle. He was denied bail and whisked to the Pademba Road maximum prison in Freetown. He was, however, cleared of all charges.

With his prolonged stay in the country, he vowed to break internationally as he said he had created a name for himself nationally. Cassidy might just be the first for his RFM group.

While LAJ is hooking up with an international artist, his main rival, Kao Denero started a US musical tour on August 1, 2012 with Nigeria’s music maestros like Tuface Idibia of the Tripartite Nigaz; Ice Princeand MI, both of the Chocolate City label; J Martins and Brymo, who featured in Sierra Leone’s Nasser Ayoub mixtape, now raving across the country.

While Kao has also posted on his facebook wall that he would be dropping his latest single this weekend, some Black Leo fans who were asked about LA’s collabo with Cassidy, have shrugged it off by stating that their man Kao, had featured two times Grammy Award winner, Shabba Ranks.

Shabba Ranks, born Rexton Rawlston Fernando Gordon, is aJamaican dancehall musician. He was one of the most popular dancehall artistes of his generation. He was also one of the first Jamaican D Jays to gain worldwide acceptance, and recognition for his slack' lyrical expressions and content like when "ridin' di riddim".

His gravel toned, rough-sounding voice made him instantly recognised worldwide.

Back stage, two hyper fans of RFM and Black Leo, Souferior of ‘Pull na Do’ fame and Cee Money respectively were at each other’s throat. Cee Money alleged that twelve RFM guys attacked him with baseball bat to knock him down but saved for his stature that he was able to defeat them.

“Just me by my self...pull di rapper demDogg e teet and slapSouferior. Ask da whole DMV...but 12 RFM man dem boat me with da help of SLMTV....allI had was a cut on my elbow wae man block di baseball bat from hitting my head,”Cee Money said.

Such rivalry has intensified among US based Salone that it is being transported back home among their fans. The end result is violence. First it would start on their various Facebook pages and during gatherings of Sierra Leoneans before it is transported back home. It is, however believed that it might not have effect at the end of this year as elections might overshadow it.
