Five people have been arrested for the death of 35 year-old Nabieu Lebbie of Gerihun town , Baoma chiefdom in the Bo district. According to Police Inspector Mohamed Bobson Senu, earlier reports stated Lebbie was violently shoved leading to his death. An autopsy examination was conducted revealing suspicious findings, reports say.
The incident happened on the 28th October 2021 when Lebbie was returning home from a bereaved friend’s place at Kailu.
Inspector Senu stated that Police on the very day went to Gerihun following reports of tension in the area, and were able to calm down the situation.
Five People were arrested namely Brima Gassimu, Mohamed Tarawalie , Morrison Foday, Nabieu Smart and Sullay A. Kamara. The Criminal Investigations Department is presently investigating Lebbie’s death. The Police have warned people to maintain peace and help bring out information that will be useful to the Police.
